  1. I also feel very settled about the Tony’s. Not only were a lot of shows flawed this year but I feel like even putting Hamilton aside, there seemed to be a lot of shows that got swept away quickly (American Psycho, Tuck Everlasting, Bright Star) that were different from last year’s shows like The Visit. Without Hamilton, I would have given more creative awards to Shuffle Along but that’s about it.

I feel the same way about Sally Field in The Glass Menagerie as I do about Diane Lane in The Cherry Orchard and Liev Shreiber in Les Liaisons Dangereuses. A big actor I’m not really familiar with is doing a play I’m not really familiar with. I’d like to see them all if I can but I won’t be broken up about it if I miss them.

I know the movie of Little Foxes. I’m not sure about this casting. I don’t see it.

I feel like you can’t be freaked out about the possibility of gun violence or you will never leave your house. But we should be freaked out about how lax this country’s policies are and all of the cultures that propagate the crazy numbers of guns in circulation.
